The Time God Saved a Child!!

We have been involved in abortion ministry locally since February of 2021 and we try and spend our Saturdays at the South Bend, Indiana abortion mill where we plead for mothers to show mercy on their children.

We happened upon a post by Sammi seeking volunteers for her online ministry, The Imago Dei and jumped at the opportunity! This would allow us to continue to reach out to abortive minded mothers during the week and it was from our home.

On Monday, March 28th my wife Regina reached to “Mama L” who was seeking an abortion.

“Mama L” responded to my wife's pleas to reconsider abortion, but she was very distrustful and suspicious. This was due to an incredibly traumatic experience she had just undergone involving her being assaulted, raped, and hospitalized for 12 days by an ex.

She had sought out help from churches and/or Christians in her area and reported receiving nothing tangible except for commitment to pray for her. After a few hours of messaging and Sammi video chatting with her, we were able to ease her concerns with us.

We than explained the process we have in place in order to get her the help she needed; this would include a physical meeting where we could verify her identity. She thankfully agreed to the meeting and seemed to want to do it as soon as possible.

Due to this mother’s distrust and the urgency of her situation (days from being evicted) my wife and I decided to volunteer to meet her. However, since “Mama L” did not want any males present, Regina reached out to a close friend from our church, Danielle, to go along.

Just two days after our initial conversations with this mother, Regina and Danielle were able to drive the 5 hours to meet “Mama L”- at a location of her choice. Despite nervousness all around, she was verified, and she committed to keeping her baby!!

“Mama L” was also presented with the Gospel, gifted a bible and the ladies were able to pray with her!

All glory and praise to God alone!!!

Since that meeting, we have been committed to keeping in touch and being there for this mother and her child. We are also happy to report that she is no longer facing eviction as her past due rent is paid in full!

Through funds gifted to The Imago Dei,” Mama L” has received items she needed including household, personal hygiene, and groceries.

What a beautiful thing when Christians band together to help a fellow image bearer! It can literally save lives!

“Mama L” now has an upcoming appointment with a baby doctor, and we hope to one day love on this precious child!

As my pastor says, "God does not need us to carry out His plan in the world, but what a wonderful, amazing thing that He has granted us the dignity to be a part of it!"
